Hi, I'm Alexey

My name is Natalia and I was a Product Manager in VK with a year of experience, when I understood that I need guidance from a more senior PM. My request was about creating a strategy for my product. But by the time we had our first meeting world went upside down – the war started in Ukraine. It was obvious that I need to leave the country, which meant I have to find a new job abroad. I was feared of the future and worried if I could find a job in Europe with the experience I have.

Alexey not only dedicated time to help me come up with the to-do list for finding a new job, but he also did the most important thing – made me believe in myself. During the sessions, we were “dissecting” my experience: what I achieved as a PM, how I did it and why. Then I turned it into the bullet points in my CV and in stories to demonstrate my path in the interviews. I rewrote it more times than I could count. But despite the fact, that skillset for finding the job and doing the job varies a lot, I got many useful tools for my routine.

It was hard times when stress was suffocating and the fear of the unknown made me freeze. I could not move an inch for weeks, but Alexey wouldn’t blame me or push. He supported me all the way through, so I think of him as a mentor and a coach.

After a while, I got a job in Germany, which I adore. I was happy to have it and eager to start. Now I’m adjusting to a new workplace and I know who can help me to overcome the next challenge when I’ll got one.
